Scrapbook Pockets For Storage
Sometimes you may want to temporarily store objects in a pocket on your scrapbook page. Pockets allow you take
out and put back items or journals as you see fit and replace them without damage to your layout, and can add
interest to your design. Scrapbook pockets are of course popular for keeping your journaling hidden from the view of the casual visitor to your scrapbook!
The easiest pocket is simply an envelope, and you can buy a huge variety now, either in the stationery store or
specially made for scrapbooks (often made to match your scrapbook paper). However, pockets can also quickly and
easily made by folding a piece of paper in half and then gluing three of the side edges. You can also use an
envelope template or even a mini-envelope die for a die-cutting machine - these make very cute envelopes
indeed!
Pre-bought vellum pockets are particularly nice on a wedding or anniversary layout.
If you still can't find what you want, pockets can also be made of fabric sewn together. Stiffen first if
necessary by using spray mount to attach the fabric to paper before folding.
