Using Rhinestones On Your Scrapbook Pages
Body art rhinestones can also be added to embellish scrapbook pages in a creative and colorful way. Rhinestones
add color and shine to your scrapbook pages, making any dull page more exciting, and of course they also add depth
and dimension.
Unlike regular rhinestones, body art rhinestones have an adhesive backing and are therefore easy to place
directly onto scrapbook pages. They can be less "proud" of the page, too.
Rhinestones and body art rhinestones come in many different shapes and colors. Both types are available at most
craft stores.
Ideas:
Consider using rhinestones on the corners of photos too to draw the eye, especially if a bit of "glitz" is
required!
If you own or find some old or damanaged rhinestone vintage jewellery, you may be able to take it apart and glue
the individual "jewels" to your page for a wonderful vintage look.
The tiniest rhinestones can be used to "draw" simple designs on the page for added interest. They take careful
sticking but the effect can be wonderful.
In the photo below, simple rhinestones accentuate a frame for a wedding scrapbook page. The same border design
has been used twice. Firstly, simply stuck to the background. Secondly, wrapped carefully around a piece of foam
board, then mounted over the original design. The effect is elegand and exciting.
